Are american eskimo dogs good to own and why are they so hiper?

They are working dogs..bred for high energy, strength..if you want one of these you need to ensure the dog will be exercised a lot and have a large yard for them to run in. They need to be able to release their energy...if you cannot make that commitment then you might want to consider a different breed...one more compatible to your lifestyle.
