"n" reg merc sprinter at idle oil light flickers but ok when driving?

I would guess, that your have a weak oil pump as it turns with the engine, so the faster the engine rpm the faster the pump and when you idling you have the smallest amount of pressure possible...so thats where I would start, also make sure you check the connections on the sensor itself.
