Children's book: Goat/Sheep who cuts cr?

As a child I had a book about a sheep or goat that ate / cut the gr at a palace and created beautiful designs. One day it was replaced by a manual lawnmower until the people realized they missed the beautiful designs. I have looked everywhere for this book and googled the basic synopsis and cannot find anything. Does anyone remember the title of this book?? Thanks!!
