Does astigmatism = BCT gles? Even though min my case an eye doctor said my astigmatism isn't fixable with g?

I have had 3 eye doctors tell me my astigmatism in my right eye isn't fixable by gles However my Left eye is 20-20? Does this mean I will have to wear those stupid BC gles in BCT or can I get by with is? Why would they make me wear them if they only make it harder to see and have no visual positives in my case?
