Joss Stone's accent; is she right to have a pop at the media for giggling at her 'fake accent'?
She's 20 years old and has been working in the US for long periods - come on now...she's at that age where picking up accents are almost unconscious. I spent my late teenage years in Belfast (after growing up in Clapham, SW4), and when I left Ulster, sounded like a cross between Feargal Sharkey and footballer Ian Wright. I think the press are being a wee bit petty, forgetting to mention someone in their late teens/early 20's will pick up accents (and quickly learn languages), be they in the UK, USA - or even China.
