Strep and my toothbrush?

I had strep throat about 3 weeks ago. I took my antibiotics and bought a new toothbrush. The problem is, I ended up getting strep again, so I went out and bought another new toothbrush. I'm not sure if I changed my toothbrush too soon or not soon enough. I was told that 24 hrs after I started antibiotics, I was no longer contagious. I don't want to get it again. I've tossed all my lipglosses that I may have used during that time. I was wanting to disinfect my toothbrush daily for a little while so that I don't get it again from that. Anybody got any ideas?
