Does moving towns effect how people treat you.?!?

I moved from mesa (or phnx w.e u wanna call) to a different town. in mesa i was kinda a nobody with few friends and many haters.... guys didnt find me attractive or anything. now i have a bunch of friends and a few haters. people think im funny and cool. Ive even had tons of guys ask me out. I dont get it. I havent changed and yet im treated like i am.
